How was yours?

Mine was pretty good. I ate way too much food. Ate a LOT of pie! I always feel like I need to try a piece of each. It was fun hanging out with family though. Unfortunately my husband and brother couldn't be there but we should all be together for Christmas so we are looking forward to that. Crossing fingers they are home in time!

We hosted at our house so I precooked a few things on Wednesday and that made yesterday easier. We tried a new stuffing recipe in the crock pot and twice baked potatoes as well - YUM!

Yesterday was also the 4th anniversary of Jaxon's passing so we celebrated by sending him his birthday balloons to heaven for him. Here are some pics in case you are interested.

I don't mind. They are in Kuwait. They have been deployed since January so we are excited to get them home!

I made apple pie and my grandma made the rest. I gave my leftover pie to my BIL because if it stayed at my house I would eat it all by myself!

Thank you so much for your support. Each year is a new experience. This year I thought it would be "easier", but it was actually harder. I was having horrible nightmares, but they appear to be on their way out the door.
