An Icon For The Forum!

Looking for some icons!
Know how to create one?
I don't want to knock off a used design so I need a unique newly created one.
Would love to see some options if you have some to show off.
I dont know how many responses I'll get to this one but I would love to end up doing a vote on the forum for the favorite and the winner will get a free bag!

What type of icons are you looking for? LD&D ones? Or diaper bag ones? or what?

I know I want the icons to be cute

I need a general icon to create the post buttons such as NEW POST, EDIT, DELETE, QUOTE, PM etc...

Then I need the ones for the top where the CALENDAR is. It's bugging everyone AND me that it's different lol

I'm open to ANY suggestions I just would love for it to be made from scratch

I'm sharing my idea w/the class now

I was inspired by the circle buttons that are already in place and I was thinking of making it a bit more girly and styled. Basically, my idea is a daisy in a circle with a label in the middle. A larger one with "ldd" in the middle for the icon and slightly smaller ones for buttons. They can be all kinds of different funky, bright colors to go with the colors of the forum.

Or, I could make the words a little bigger (maybe a necessity because the buttons would probably need to be a teeny bit smaller than I have sampled above, and it's hard to read "calendar" already....)



I could probably make the text pop a bit more.

What do you all think?

Based on the "bigger is better" mindset...I was thinking that, too and increased the font size on both. Now they are uniform.

Why is the third calling out to me?!
I'm liking the visible glow around the wording.
I like glows.
The buttons we already have, have that perspective type shine which I'm loving.
Adds depth.... am I being silly?

Okay, so it's late and insomnia does strange things to me...that's my excuse

I was thinking, if you all would like something to represent the "Little Dudes," maybe a friendly skull-n-crossbones would be good? We could alternate the buttons: skull, flower, skull, flower. And I could do a logo that incorporates them both.

I like the flowers too, but I'm just not a skull person. LOL What about some baby cowboys?? You know - little dudes. heehee Or some bling (diamond) for the divas. Hmm, or a mirror. Anyway, like the flowers!

The flowers are too cute. Diamonds would be a cute idea as well.

I don't know how hard this would be, probably too tough - but wouldn't it be neat to have the icon match the product in the designer portion? Like a mini JJB for JJB, a mini diaper clutch, a pair of the knee pads...

Not sure though if it would look too crazy though and not all uniform. Just throwing it out there. And someone else has to do it, or teach me. I have no clue how to create icons.
