When you win a contest, do you think you should stop entering and give others a chance?

I am close to winning the referral contest on the other board (super crossed fingers!) and there's a huge part of me that thinks maybe I should stop entering RMG for awhile afterwards....

Or I feel like if I was to win one of the contests for a diaper bag on here, it'd be awhile before entering again. I'd still post, just wouldn't put my entries in for the draw, kwim?!

Do you think it's ok to enter contests (especially the SAME ones) after winning? Take a small break?

Hey Jess, I guess it depends on the contest and how much work is actually involved. Like the referral contest, it takes a lot of time and effort so it's not easy and you're not winning based on the number of posts. For me personally, I wouldn't enter the same contests either. If I won the referral contest (no that I would in a million years), I wouldn't enter if they were to have it again.

RMG is a totally different contest and Rachelle picks the winners so I would definitely continue to enter until I won regardless of other contests I've already won.

For the contests here at LD&D, they're exactly the same so if I were to win the current one, I would not enter again. At least not for the next two or three.

That is a good question and I am glad you asked it. I won the Mia Bossi a few weeks ago and I wondered if I should enter to win the FV contest. I haven't gone out of my way to make entries, but I have entered some of my posts on here. I figure the chances of me winning twice are very slim, but if I did win I would give it to a friend. I have two pregnant friends who can't afford expensive diaper bags and I wouldn't mind winning it for one of them. I completely understand though if everyone wants me to stop entering.

I think all contests are totally different so I think you should still enter. Maybe if they kept on doing it next year, then that's when I would step down and not enter anymore.

I won the Mia Bossi bag back in October and even though I could have entered the other contests, I wanted other people to have a chance. I know that the drawing is random, but I would have felt bad. With this contest I am posting and entering when I remember. I know a few people that are pregnant or have infants that would love a fun awesome bag.
